It's well known and documented that the US has a variety of armed militia groups. Since the Trump presidency, many are more open, even inviting the media to film them training. See the PBS link below of one such group.

Militia's like the Oath Keepers and Georgia Security Force believe the government will one day remove their "freedoms." I encourage readers like you to learn about these groups.

I recall driving west on I-16 from Savannah and seeing a KKK-recruitment sign on the highway with a road leading to a forested area. I worried about my safety if I had an auto breakdown in that area. That was 2020!

It's all scary because these are people without the mental capacity to be reasoned with. They believe that everything is scarce and something is being taken away from them and they will protect it and fight for whatever this imaginary thing is. Improving your knowledge about these people helps you know they are there. It's better than living in oblivion. Knowledge can help some of us find safety, necessary to protect you and your family.

As for the inauguration come January 2025, since we have a precedent of violence on that day, the promise by many groups to commit terrorist attacks that day, especially if their candidate loses, then one hopes that we will be prepared with more legitimate military presence and the areas appropriately blocked off from these domestic terrorists groups. One thing for sure, if Kamala Harris wins, she will need enhanced protection for her whole term and after.
