Nice one! I don’t keep a journal these days, but did when younger. These days there are so many things to do during a day: practice Vipassana meditation for an hour, then yoga, maybe go for a run, eat, get to work whether for yourself or someone else, whether commuting or remotely, lunch and FaceTime or telephone calls and text messages to nurture relationships with family and friends, make lunch, laundry, dishes, go for a walk, reading the news or a good book, listening to podcast…You get my drift. I feel like a journal now would be a tough addition. Maybe I am using writing in my blog now as my journal. This comment is likely my morning entry 😊. Yeah, that’s it! Revelation!
I agree with you. I write to stay calm and to help me understand a difficult situation. Once through a very trying time, I wrote so much, I was encouraged by my partner to turn it into a book, which I did. That lead me through a path of writing on topics even tangentially related to the book.
Thanks for your insights. I will follow you to see. What other inspiration you can provide me. Happy writing! ✍️
