Introduction: Rebuilding Trust in the Democratic Party
In this piece, I will be prescriptive, recommend drastic measures, and hope for the best. I may be a small voice in the wind, but I live here too and have to try my best to add what skills I have to save my home. This approach is my way of helping America, particularly the Democratic Party.
Disillusionment with the Democratic Party is at an all-time high. They have failed us miserably over the last few years. Obama tried, but his own Party secretly and sometimes openly opposed him because the Party was still captured by whiteness. It feels like a Republican-lite party these days since it refuses to hear the calls of Americans, whether they are self-professed Democrats or Republicans. For example, it only occurred to Democratic operatives that VP Harris could be a viable candidate when they saw the massive outcry against President Biden and his evident public deterioration with age.
