Blaxploitation is the tone and game of this movie, “They Cloned Tyrone.” It’s a Get-out-ish class of fictional movie about the adventures of a never-smile-drugs-selling hustler, a fur-collared-coat-in-the-Summer pimp, and a brave and beautiful escort/adventurer/Nancy Drew-esk investigator as they wrestle with a secret underground laboratory in the ghetto town of Glen, USA. The villains are shadowy people so convinced of their whiteness that they routinely experiment on black people to control their minds, emotions, outcomes, and other mysterious things. I won’t spoil the whole plot, so that’s partly a teaser.

The movie, although fictional touches on a fact that I find amazing. White-run governments are made up of people who prefer to spend tax money to subjugate and destroy black people, culture, and history—whatever they cannot find a way to appropriate and monetize rather than spend the same money to uplift and enrich those same communities.
